The guild's formal name is The Surer's Guild, but everyone calls it "The Scale" (like the balancing of a scale).

The Knights of the Scale, known as "Hammers", police the Docks (the section of the city controlled by the Scale).

Located at the Docks, The Scale also controls much of the merchant goods coming in and out of the city.
